Karen practices exclusively in all areas of Family Law, including parenting arrangements, grandparent custody cases, child and spousal support, and complex asset division.  Karen has appeared in all levels of court in BC including the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal and has trained as a family law mediator and in collaborative divorce.  She has been a member of the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, and the Fraser Valley Family Law Group (CBA subsection). With her experience and background, Karen has been a frequent speaker on family law issues, presenting to numerous community organizations.

Raised in the Lower Mainland, Karen completed her undergraduate degree at Western Washington University in Bellingham, and received her law degree from the University of BC in 1994. Karen has lived in the Fraser Valley for most of her adult life where she raised her two now grown children. She can often be found exploring local parks and trails geocaching and Karen also volunteers her time as a board member of the Camp Artaban Society.

Karen was called to the bar in BC in 1997 and worked in several law firms in the Lower Mainland before joining RDM Lawyers in 2009.
