Tannis practices exclusively family law.
She obtained her Bachelor of Communications, majoring in journalism, from Mount Royal University in Calgary, before obtaining her law degree at the University of British Columbia in 2016. Tannis completed her articles in Vancouver and shortly after decided to focus her practice solely on family law. She joined RDM as an associate in 2020.
Working through family legal matters – whether at the beginning or end of a relationship – can be challenging. Tannis’ background in communications assists her clients in clearly understanding the law, and helps them work towards a solution as efficiently and effectively as possible. She has assisted clients with divorce, cohabitation and marriage agreements (prenuptial agreements), separation agreements, spousal support (alimony), child support, division of property including pensions and RRSPs, guardianship, custody, parenting time, and adoptions.
Originally from Edmonton, Tannis is a mountain girl at heart. She has lived, worked, and played in Jasper, Alberta. There, she fell in love with mountain biking, the great outdoors, and the lifestyle that ultimately drew her to the Fraser Valley.
