Owen’s practice is varied within our solicitor group. He has a particular focus in real estate, corporate/commercial, will and estate planning, and commercial lending.

Owen advises individuals and companies on residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale transactions. Beyond real estate, Owen guides clients through business formation, operation, and growth, offering practical solutions tailored to entrepreneurs and business owners. Additionally, he provides guidance on will and estate planning, ensuring our clients’ legacies and wishes are safeguarded.

Owen grew up in Abbotsford and obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy from the University of the Fraser Valley. When graduating, Owen represented the UFV class of 2020 as valedictorian. He then attended law school at the University of Victoria, where he received his Juris Doctor. While studying law, Owen published several academic articles and was president of the Christian Legal Fellowship club.

Owen is excited to be working in his hometown, Abbotsford. He first joined RDM as a summer student for two years and then completed his articles with RDM. He was called to the bar in May 2024.

Owen volunteers in his local community, by sitting on the Apologetics Canada board as well as the Governance and Policy committee for the Abbotsford Community Foundation. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, reading philosophy, and travelling with his wife.

Fees

Owen’s hourly rate is currently $200, while much of his work is billed based on tariffs or set fees.
