Sheri Yakashiro

Sheri advises clients in the areas of business law, real estate, and will and estate planning. Sheri manages the corporate department and oversees legal work relating to mergers and acquisitions of businesses in a variety of industries, from agriculture and food services to professional service firms.
A native of Abbotsford, Sheri obtained her bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Psychology from Simon Fraser University before moving to Saskatoon, where she earned her law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2010. Sheri completed her articles with RDM Lawyers and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2012. Sheri joined the RDM Partnership in January 2020.
Sheri maintains strong ties to the Fraser Valley. She is dedicated to working with non-profit societies, including volunteering as a Council Member for Character Abbotsford and as the Secretary/Past Chair of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers and Sisters of the Fraser Valley. Sheri is also currently a Trusted Advisor for BC Cancer Society.
Sheri takes great pride in her Japanese heritage and is a member of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (British Columbia) Society (FACL). She is excited to witness the growing diversity within the legal profession since the beginning of her legal career, both in British Columbia and at RDM.
In what little spare time she has, Sheri enjoys spending time with her precocious daughters, trying new foods and doing her best to work off those new foods.
Fees
Sheri’s hourly rate is currently $500, while much of her work is billed based on tariffs or set fees.
