Meagan Engh Abercrombie
Meagan’s practice is varied within our litigation group. She has a particular focus on debtor/creditor law, immigration law, and family law.
Meagan obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Studies at Trinity Western University. She then attended law school at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia where she received her Juris Doctor in 2021. During her time at law school, Meagan volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and later Rise Women’s Legal Centre to provide free legal services to vulnerable women and newcomers to Canada. She gained further experience working at the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society’s legal clinic as well. Meagan completed her articles at RDM and remains with our firm since her call to the British Columbia Bar in 2022.
Meagan grew up in Mission and Abbotsford, with family in Costa Rica as well. She currently serves as a member of her property’s strata council and volunteers with her church. Outside of law, you can find Meagan making music as a duo with her husband, cooking meals with friends, slalom water skiing with family, colouring to relax, and being out in nature with her energetic dog.
Meagan is happy to assist clients in both English and Spanish.
Meagan’s hourly rate is currently $200, while some of her work is billed through contingency fee agreements.
