Janta represents people injured in car accidents or slips and falls. She also enjoys advising non-profit businesses in achieving their growth objectives, and she is developing her practice in commercial litigation and cross-border issues with the USA.

Janta earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Okanagan College and the University of British Columbia. After graduating, she completed her Bachelor of Laws degree at Queen Mary, University of London, UK. She was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2019 and joined RDM in 2021. Janta also passed the Washington State Bar in September 2022.

Janta brings a wealth of local and international business experience and political acumen to her legal career. Her diverse work experience includes the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission; Mission Hill Winery; and British Sugar, a FTSE 100 subsidiary in England. She later moved to Victoria and became a political aide to the Parliamentary Secretaries for Intergovernmental Affairs and Liquor Reform, and to the BC Minister for Small Business. Prior to starting her legal career, Janta held the position of Trade & Technology Secretariat Coordinator in the BC Ministry of Jobs, Trade & Technology.

Janta has an avid interest in grassroots non-profit work. She has held leadership roles with non-profit societies dedicated to combatting gender-based violence, skills development in Vancouver’s downtown east side, and political activism. She also volunteers at her local church and is conversant in French. Janta, her husband, stepchild, and cats all reside in Washington State. Her favourite hobbies are hiking, indoor rock climbing, and horseback riding.

Fees: 

Janta’s hourly rate is currently $275, while much of her personal injury work is billed through contingency fee agreements.
